Umberto Quattrociocchi is a freelance tubist, composer, and teacher based in the Greater Toronto Area. Umberto is a graduate of the University of Toronto with both a Bachelor's degree in Music Performance and an Advanced Certificate in Performance, and has studied as an Orchestral Scholar at the Glenn Gould School. An emerging orchestral musician, Umberto has performed with ensembles including the Hans Zimmer Live Orchestra, Ontario Philharmonic, Oakville Symphony, Royal Conservatory Orchestra, and the National Youth Orchestra of Canada. In addition to his work as a performer, Umberto is also an experienced educator and composer.

Outside of orchestral music, Umberto enjoys performing solo and chamber music. He has been awarded numerous scholarship and competition prizes for his playing, including winning first prize in the Hannaford Youth Program's Rising Stars Solo Competition and earning entrance and returning scholarship distinctions from the Domaine Forget de Charlevoix academy - both in 2023. Umberto’s compositions have also been met with acclaim, including winning first prize in the Etobicoke Philharmonic Orchestra’s young composers’ competition in 2021; many of Umberto's recent works have been performed in and around Toronto. Umberto also enjoys teaching private music lessons and clinics to young musicians.
